Your Day is an app for families that turns everyday routines into a game. It is built so that as little as possible leaves the phone. Here we describe what data is handled, where it is kept, and what rights you have.

Short summary

Data controller

Daniel Kim, who publishes Your Day, is the data controller for the data processed by our providers (see Buying Premium). You can reach us at [E-postadress].

What is saved on the phone

The following is saved on the phone, in the app's own storage, and is not sent to us:

We cannot see or access this data. The pictures of the child's face can be deleted in parent mode.

The backup

So that nothing is lost if the app is deleted and installed again, or if you change phones, a backup is saved in your own account with Apple or Google:

The backups are handled by Apple and Google and belong to your account. We cannot see them. If you delete the app, the backup stays in your account, and it can be deleted in the phone's iCloud or Google settings.

Feel free to use the child's first name or a nickname.

The camera

With Premium, the camera is used in two places: as a mirror when the child brushes their teeth, and in the photo booth where the child's face is put into the character. The pictures are analyzed directly on the phone with Google ML Kit, which finds the face and the mouth. No pictures are sent to us or to Google. The mirror's pictures are not saved at all, and the photo booth's pictures are only saved on the phone.

ML Kit may sometimes contact Google to download updates and send technical information about how the feature works, such as how fast it is. That information does not contain any pictures.

The app asks for permission to use the camera the first time. You can change this at any time in the phone's settings.

Face ID and fingerprint

If you unlock parent mode with Face ID or a fingerprint, this is handled entirely by the phone. The app only learns whether the unlock succeeded.

Sound and voice

Reading aloud is done by the phone's own text-to-speech. The app does not use the microphone.

Buying Premium

Premium is a subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google handle the payment, and we never see your card or payment details. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies apply to the purchase itself.

So that the app knows whether you have Premium, we use the service RevenueCat. It receives a random ID for the app on the phone (not your name or email address), details about the purchase from the App Store or Google Play, and technical information, such as the phone's operating system and country. The legal basis is the contract with you. RevenueCat is based in the United States, and the data is transferred with the safeguards required by the General Data Protection Regulation, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

What we don't do

Children

Your Day is used by children together with an adult. The adult installs the app, chooses what is saved, and manages parent mode and purchases. The data about the children stays on the phone and is not sent to us.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we have about you, to have errors corrected, to have the data deleted, to restrict how it is used, to object to its use, and to receive it in a format that can be moved to someone else. Contact us at [E-postadress].

You can also file a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. We will tell you about major changes in the app.
